1. Who is responsible for your data

This privacy policy is governed by the Spanish Organic Law on Personal Data Protection and Digital Rights (LOPDPGDD) and the General Data Protection Regulation (RGPD/GDPR).
2. Data we collect and process
When you use our services or contact us, we collect your name, email address, phone number, country of residence, and the documents you submit for translation. Documents may contain personal data belonging to you or third parties and are processed solely for the purpose of translation service delivery.
3. Legal basis for processing
Processing of your contact and billing data is based on the contractual relationship (RGPD Article 6.1.b). Processing of enquiry data is based on our legitimate interest in responding to communications (Article 6.1.f). We do not process special category data unless you submit documents containing such data for translation purposes.
4. Data retention
Contact and order data is retained for seven years to comply with Spanish tax law obligations. Documents submitted for translation are deleted within 30 days of project completion unless you request longer retention. Enquiry emails not resulting in a project are retained for three years.
5. Your rights under the LOPDPGDD and RGPD
You have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict processing, and port your personal data. You may exercise these rights by writing to hello@translatormartin.com. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Agencia Espanola de Proteccion de Datos (AEPD) at www.aepd.es.
6. Third parties
Payment processing is provided by Stripe Payments Europe Ltd. See Stripe privacy policy at stripe.com/privacy. Google Fonts is used for typography. We do not sell or share personal data with any other third party.
7. International transfers
Payment data is processed by Stripe, which is subject to the EU-US Data Privacy Framework. No other international transfers of personal data take place.
